About Lindi (they/she)

I’m Lindi, the full spectrum doula and massage therapist behind Container of Care. Full spectrum means I am committed to providing compassionate care from preconception, through all birth outcomes including loss, and into the postpartum days and months and years. I am passionate about helping people find the tools they need to thrive—in all of life, but especially during the childbearing and rearing years. I have been caring for all shapes and sizes of families for over a decade with a framework that is trauma informed, actively anti-racist, decolonial, reproductive justice centered and celebrates queerness. My work is evidence based while maintaining the integrity of the mysteries of birth, life and death.

Earlier in 2026, I graduated from massage school at Zen Shiatsu in Evanston. There, I established a foundation of touch therapy that honors the whole person under my hands. Shiatsu, the main technique in which I was trained, is a Japanese form of bodywork that utilizes the same meridian system as Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture to bring healthy functions to all aspects of being: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Shiatsu involves passive stretching and calculated pressure to relieve muscular tension that so many seek out massage therapy to benefit, and in addition, because it also utilizes the meridian system, it can also benefit other healthy functions including digestion, elimination, sleep, and immune function. You can read more about Shiatsu at my school’s website, here.

I have taken multiple doula trainings across different organizations throughout the years and am currently certified for both birth and postpartum through Birth and Baby University. I feel so deeply honored every time a family invites me to join them on the journey of growing their family. I aim to offer compassionate and non-judgmental support from day one to help you harness the brave, wise being within you who knows how to birth/raise/support/love your new little family member.

Additional trainings and certifications I hold are: CPR/First Aid (including infants), Mental Health First Aid, Pregnancy Loss through the Institute of Birth, Breath and Death, and soon—Certified Educator of Infant Massage through Infant Massage USA.

When I’m not doing hip squeezes for a laboring parent, holding a baby, or massaging the next person on my mat, you might find me knitting, camping, reading or cooking and eating good food with my loved ones. I live with my partner, our six year old and three furry family members (a dog and two cats). My favorite holiday is Halloween (because I love creating costumes) and my favorite season is summer in Chicago—you’ll find me on the shores of Lake Michigan every chance I can get.
